Top 10 performers from Week 10 across the Texas Panhandle

Landyn Hack, Panhandle, QB, Jr.

Hack continued his fantastic season leading the Panthers to a thrilling 36-35 come-from-behind victory against Farwell. After an 0-5 start to the year, Panhandle has now won four straight district games to clinch a share of the District 1-2A Division I championship. Hack finished the contest going 17-of-32 for 312 yards with three touchdowns, adding 82 yards on the ground on 18 carries.

Damon Carrasco, Caprock, RB, Jr.

Caprock clinched a Class 5A Division I playoff berth on the back of Carrasco during a 41-20 win against rival Palo Duro. Carrasco chewed up the Dons defense for 236 yards and five touchdowns on 33 carries.

Zach Halsey, Muleshoe, QB, Sr.

Hasley helped lead the Mules to the postseason for the first time since 2017 with an incredible effort in a 61-16 thumping of Dalhart. The senior gunslinger picked the Golden Wolves defense apart completing 13-of-21 passes for 226 yards, but the telling stat was his seven touchdown passes.

Brayden Boggs-Rushing, QB-LB, Sr.

Boggs-Rushing did work on both sides of the ball as the Demons ran their district win streak to 18 straight games with a convincing 29-14 home win over Canyon. Offensively, Boggs-Rushing tallied 126 yards on 24 carries with two scores and threw for 90 yards. On defense, he tallied four tackles, two of which were for a loss, and a sack.

Travon McCaslin, Tulia, QB, Jr.

Tulia pulled off the upset of the weekend in the state taking down No. 5-ranked Canadian 54-35. McCaslin was a key cog to the win torching the Wildcats secondary for 378 passing yards on 13-of-24 completions with five touchdowns. The junior tacked on 123 yards rushing on only five carries for another score.

Gerardo Garcia, Hereford, QB, Sr.

Hereford bounced back in a big way with a huge offense performance downing Pampa 56-23 Garcia was near perfect for the Whitefaces during the blowout completing 16-of-17 passes for 243 yards and four touchdowns to lead the way for Hereford.

Jacob Bautista, Friona, RB-DB, Sr.

Friona snapped a two-game skid blanking Spearman 35-0 at home. The speedy Bautista ran past the Lynx defense for an eye-opening 221 yards on only 13 carries with three touchdowns. If that wasn’t enough, the senior racked up nine tackles on defense, five of which were the solo variety.

Bryce Braden, Stratford, LB, Fr.

The freshman linebacker had a career outing as the Elks continue to dominate District 3-2A Division II. During a 35-0 route of Vega, Braden was part of a stellar defensive effort making 14 total tackles, six of which were solo. Stratford has pitched back-to-back shutouts of Gruver and Vega over the past two games not allowing a point in eight quarters.

Kash Bradley, Bushland, WR, Sr.

Bradley showed off his skill as the Falcons wrapped up the District 2-3A Division I title for a third straight year pounding Littlefield 62-14. The lightning quick receiver hauled in four catches for 114 yards in the victory, averaging

28.5 yards a catch, with three touchdowns.

Ridge Holland, Gruver, RB, Jr.

Holland scored in multiple ways during the Greyhounds 62-25 win against Sunray. Holland carried the ball nine times for 65 yards with a touchdown, caught two passes for 65 yards and a score, then had a 74-yard kickoff return for a TD.
