Amarillo-area girls district basketball scores for February 4th

Pampa secures final 4-4A playoff spot 

The Pampa Lady Harvesters are headed to the Class 4A playoffs.

Thanks to a dominating 64-35 home win against Dumas on Tuesday night capped with a Randall 81-61 victory over Hereford, the Lady Harvesters were able to secure the fourth and final postseason berth out of District 4-4A.

Pampa ends the regular season at 6-8 in district and 11-22 overall and will be the No. 2-seed in the Class 4A Division II playoffs that start next week.

The Lady Harvesters pulled away in the second half against the Demonettes. Leading by a slim 23-19 margin at halftime, Pampa exploded in the final two quarters outscoring Dumas 41-16 down the stretch to earn the victory.

Berlin Bartlett led the way for Pampa pouring in a game-high 25 points. Teammate Cambree Dyer added 16.

Dalhart downs Canadian 

Dalhart made things very interesting getting a 43-27 victory against Canadian in the regular season finale at home Tuesday night.

With the win, Dalhart, Canadian and Bushland will all split the District 1-3A championship with 8-2 league records.

With the UIL moving to divisions this season, Canadian (31-2) is locked in as the No. 1-seed in Division II. The Lady Wolves (26-6) and Lady Falcons (18-13) have yet to decide whether to play or flip for the top two seeds in Division I. Childress (11-20) is the No. 2-seed out of Division II.

Dalhart and Canadian had a very close game throughout three quarters. The Lady Wolves led 18-16 at half and were up 26-23 heading into the fourth quarter. During those final eight minutes, the Lady Wolves were able to pull away outscoring the Lady Cats 17-4.

Kammi Maddox and Evelyn Quiroz each scored 12 points to help secure the victory.

District quick hits

Tascosa, Amarillo High and Lubbock Monterey ended with a tri-district championship in District 3-5A at 14-2. Lubbock Monterey is locked in as the No. 1-seed in Division II with Plainview getting the No. 2-seed thanks to beating Lubbock High 47-46 on Tuesday night. Tascosa and Amarillo High flipped with the Lady Rebels getting the top spot in Division I as the Lady Sandies will be the No. 2-seed.

Kelton (11-10, 3-5) ended the year on fire winning three straight games to clinch the final playoff spot out of District 1-1A. The Lady Lions defeated Follett 45-40 on Tuesday night and were given help thanks to Fort Elliott beating Miami 44-31. Fort Elliott is the No. 1-seed in Class 1A Division II with Kelton being the No. 2-seed. Follett and Booker are tied and will more than likely have a seeding game for the top spot in Division I at 5 p.m. Friday in Darrouzett.

Tuesday’s top performers 

Sadie Sanchez simply couldn’t miss racking up an incredible 49 points that helped Randall defeat Hereford 81-61. Sanchez finished the game with seven 3-pointers.

Amarillo High’s Bella Edwards went for a game-high 33 points in a Lady Sandies dominating 95-58 win against Lubbock-Cooper.

Canyon’s Kambrie Graser posted a team-best 15 points as the Lady Eagles finished District 4-4A a perfect 14-0 with a 62-33 victory against rival West Plains.

McLean won the outright District 2-1A title behind Hailo Moon’s 26 points during a 63-47 win at Groom.

Vega’s Jaz Martinez had a hot shooting night scoring 19 points for Vega in a 54-26 win over West Texas High.

Stratford’s Addison Bell and Kaydence Hood combined for 43 points as the Lady Elks handled Sanford-Fritch 81-41. Bell tallied a game-high 22 points followed by Hood’s 21.

Trinity Schlueter led Valley to an undefeated District 8-1 season scoring 23 points against during a 60-39 lopsided win against Guthrie.
