In the win over Borger, Thomas put up 28 points with five more assists, two boards and two steals.

Coach Leslie Broadhurst: ““I think we’re getting better as a team and doing some small things better. The defensive is improving and we’re pushing the ball down the floor well and scoring at a high rate. KJ has gotten a lot better overall from a year ago, which is hard to say as good as he’s always been. His defense is much better and he’s a more complete player. He’s become a vocal leader and he’s what makes us go.”
Thomas: “I love the way we’re playing this season. We’re a much more complete team than last year and we’re locked in. We play the right way, and we just want to continue to get better. I think I’m playing well but I can’t do it without my teammates. My teammates are finding me and we’re all sharing the ball well. I’d say my role has changed significantly. I’m more of a vocal leader and I’m taking way more pride in my defense.”
