Coach April Bolen: “Saphina was a huge factor in our success over the weekend. We all know she’s a great athlete but she’s really developing as a player to become a force all-around. She’s come a long way even from last year because she’s matured and is working on all aspects of her game. Saphina is changing up her shots and using finesse to score in other ways. She’s just a fun person to be around and takes athletics seriously to become a better player.”
Stanley: “It was exciting to go unbeaten at the Randall Tournament. I know we could do it. We’re a team that plays with grit and a lot of passion. The match with Randall was awesome and very intense. It had our blood pumping, and it was heartwarming to get that kind of win. I feel like I’m getting better overall as a player. I’m focused on getting better on my shot selection and my defense. I just want to keep taking it step by step and improve each time I go out on the floor.”
