Dumas (11-0) vs. Seminole (8-3), 7 p.m. Greg Sherwood Memorial Bulldogs Stadium, Plainview.

The Demons are in the area round for the first time in 22 years. Don’t look for them to slow down now.… Dumas 28, Seminole 20.

Class 2A

Division II

Stratford (10-1) vs McCamey (4-7), 6 p.m. PlainsCapital Park-Lowrey Field, Lubbock.

Nobody has played better over the last two months than the Elks. They are firing on all cylinders on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. The Badgers will scrap, but its the Elks advance. … Stratford 40, McCamey 14.

Division II

Tascosa (8-3) vs. Arlington Bowie (8-3), 6 p.m. Memorial Stadium, Wichita Falls.

All you need to know about Bowie is its three losses are to teams a combined 29-4. This will be back and forth late into the third quarter. Tascosa’s Flexbone offense will wear Bowie down late and be the difference. …. Tascosa 42, Arlington Bowie 34.

Class 5A

Division I

Amarillo High (9-2) vs. Colleyville Heritage (7-4), 6 p.m. Shotwell Stadium, Abilene.

Don’t be fooled by the four losses. Heritage has played the big boys this year in Southlake Carroll, Trinity and Denton Ryan. Amarillo High is on a serious roll winning eight in a row and hasn’t lost since Sept. 13. This should be a thriller. The state experts see this to be the end of the road for AHS. Could happen. I don’t see it that way. … AHS 31, Heritage 28.

Division II

Randall (4-7) vs. Canutillo (9-2), 7 p.m. Mustang Bowl, Andrews.

How bout those Raiders! Randall continues to improve and is playing really good defense, while making enough plays on offense. Tip of the cap to Canutillo for overachieving expectations this year. I say go with the Upset Special… Randall 20, Canutillo 17.

Iowa Park (10-1) vs. Dalhart (7-4), 7:30 p.m. PlainsCapital Park-Lowrey Field, Lubbock.

Hats off to the Golden Wolves. They’ve quietly put together another solid season. To move on, they’ll have to play their best game to date.… Iowa Park 38, Dalhart 19.

Bushland (11-0) vs. Whitesboro (7-4), 7 p.m. Hawks Stadium, Iowa Park.

Whitesboro turned heads across the state when it stunned Eastland last week. Bushland will have to be on full alert, but look for the Falcons to prevail. … Bushland 30, Whitesboro 17.

Division II

Abernathy (10-1) vs. Childress (5-6), 7 p.m. Kimbrough Stadium, Canyon.

The Antelopes cut the Bobcats season short a year ago in this same matchup. Coach Jason Sims and his team can think of nothing better to repay the favor this year. There’s only one problem… Abernathy has Bryson Daily. The dude is a one-man wrecking ball. … Abernathy 34, Childress 16.

Canadian (11-0) vs. Coahoma (9-2), 7 p.m. Greg Sherwood Memorial Bulldogs Stadium, Plainview

The Bulldogs are a good football team, but the Wildcats are playing at another level. …Canadian 41, Coahoma 14.

Saturday’s game

Alpine (9-2) vs. Friona (9-2), 2 p.m. Saturday, Mustang Bowl, Andrews.

Friona won its first playoff game in a decade, and is now oozing with confidence. Get on the Chieftain train. It keeps on rolling. … Friona 32, Alpine 14.

Sudan (11-0) vs Vega (8-3), 7 p.m. Friday, Bobcats Stadium, Dimmitt.

Undefeated Sudan has cruised through their schedule and will likely face their toughest competition against the Vega Longhorns. The Longhorns will put up a fight, but likely fall to the Hornets. … Sudan 42, Vega 33.

Gruver (7-4) vs. Van Horn (6-5), 7 p.m. Peoples Bank Stadium, Wolfforth

It’s a matchup between two teams that are separated by 515 miles. The Greyhounds hung on for a thrilling win last week against Tahoka. Aim for Hounds defense to step up big in this area matchup. … Gruver 35, Van Horn 20

Christoval (10-1) vs. Wellington (10-1), 7 p.m. Mustang Bowl, Sweetwater

Sweetwater hosts a premier Class 2A DII matchup with the Wellington Skyrockets taking on Christoval. The Skyrockets have seemingly had their way with any team they’ve stepped on the field with. Look for Friday to be the same.… Wellington 56, Christoval 28

Eldorado (10-1) vs. Wheeler (9-2), 7 p.m. Lobos Stadium, Levelland.

The Mustangs have rode the coattails of shifty running back Hesston Marshall in hopes of a new foundation for the program. Eldorado’s attempt to slow Marshall could allow the Mustangs to spread the ball around for a big offensive night. … Wheeler 42, Eldorado 35

This matchup will be interesting. Spur has put up points at a high rate all year long. This will be a good test to see how well rounded this Tiger team is. Defense wins championships, and McLean has one of the best. McLean 74 Spur 38.

Ira (11-0) vs. White Deer (9-2), 7:30 p.m. Wildcats Stadium, Littlefield

The Bucks have been labeled by many as the underdog heading into this matchup. Ira has a perfect record, but the strength of their schedule has not prepared them for this White Deer team. … White Deer 65 Ira 54.

Division II

Groom (9-2) vs. Whitharral (9-2) 7:30 p.m. Friday, Longhorns Stadium, Lockney.

The Panthers have not been the one most exciting teams, but week after week they’ve gotten the job done. Grooms coming off a victory where they scored 80 unanswered points. If the Tiger defense makes the stops, Groom will be playing in a Regional Championship. … Groom 68, Whitharral 30
