H.S. Soccer roundup: Palo Duro inches closer to AISD history; Randall girls roll

Monday and Tuesday’s top performers

Boys

The Palo Duro soccer team captured another win beating Randall, 5-1, on Tuesday. The five goals gives the Dons 100 goals as a team on the year, as they are now only 18 away from tying the Amarillo ISD record for goals in a season.

Michael Nga of Caprock netted a goal and dished out an assist during the Longhorns 4-0 shutout against Tascosa in a District 3-5A contest Monday.

Pampa’s Justin Martinez racked up a hat trick as the Harvesters blanked Borger 4-0 in a District 2-4A matchup Tuesday.

Girls

Randall goalie Bradashia Smith made four saves in the net to help the Lady Raiders shutout Palo Duro, 4-0, on Tuesday.

Rachel Kelley of Canyon scored a goal and had an assist, while teammate Gracie Van Winkle added a goal and an assist in a 4-1 win against Dumas.
